RBI HAS INCREASED REPO RAE BY 25 BASIS POINT

Reserve Bank of India has increased the repo rate by 25 basis point to 8.25%. RBI has announced mid quarter monetary policy on 16 September 2011. Repo rate was 8% earlier and is increased 25 basis point to 8.25%.

The reserve repo rate is also adjusted to 7.25% which is simultaneously to repo rate.

The marginal standing facility is also increased to 9.25%.

All these are in force with immediate effect.
